'TEXAS T-REX' TRAVELS HOME TO ENLOE FOR 4TH OF JULY PARADE
Lane and his 'Texas T-Rex' pulling tractor will be headed back to the home of his 1972 Sears Super Suburban pulling tractor. The 'Texas T-Rex' was retired after a long career in the Enloe, Texas area, and was brought out of retirement to enter its second career in LSGTPA tractor pulling competition. Larry King, of Enloe, turned over the keys of his garden tractor to Lane, after Lane began searching for a tractor for which to begin competing in the LSGTPA Youth Class. The tractor was completely disassembled and reconstructed by Lane and the Duncan Motorsports team, over the course of the next couple of years. Lane then made his LSGTPA tractor pulling debut on March 6, 2010. Lane plans to display the tractor at the Clara Foster Slough Museum in Enloe on Saturday, June 30, before the 4th of July parade. The parade is schedule to begin at 4:30 pm, with parade lineup slated for 4pm.
Stop by the museum before the parade and visit (in the air conditioning!).

Texas T-Rex Returns to the Hunt County Fair
Lane Duncan and his 'Texas T-Rex' LSGTPA Youth Class pulling tractor were back in action at the Hunt County Fair in Greenville, Texas this past weekend. The LSGTPA Tractor Pull, held at the fair on June 8th and 9th, has become an annual event that the Duncan Motorsports crew and Team T-Rex certainly look forward to. Lane's first win in LSGTPA tractor pulling competition, came at the fair in 2011.
This years pull was conducted on a specifically constructed track for the tractor pullers. In years past, the pulls were conducted at the fairground rodeo arena. Heavy rains in the area delayed the start of the event, but once the track preparation had been completed, the pull was off and running. Opening ceremonies included an outstanding performance of the National Anthem by Amber Carrington. I expect to see more from this very talented young lady in the years to come, as she is certainly a talented performer.
Lane's first pull was hampered by the damp track conditions, but he rebounded nicely to come back with a very nice pull during the second session, which placed his 'Texas T-Rex' in the Runner-Up spot at the finish. On Saturday night, after another awesome National Anthem performance by Amber Carrington, Lane opened with a crossed up pull that required an early shutoff to keep from going out of bounds for a DQ. On the second pull, Lane had a plan on how to drive the tricky track without going out of bounds, and executed his plan flawlessly. As the tractor made several moves to the right side boundary, Lane would feather the throttle to allow the front end to settle just long enough to steer the tractor back, and then would be back on the gas ! He repeated this the length of the track for a great pull, and secured a third place finish with the pull.
The Hunt County Fair LSGTPA Tractor Pull 2012, was a decent performance for the team, and was certainly a lot of fun ! We would like to thank our sponsors and friends for allowing us the opportunity to compete, such as South Texas Implements and would like to mention Enloe Museum as the Youth Class trophys sponsor. Thanks to the Hunt County Fair and Crawford-Smith, Inc. of Greenville for sponsoring the event. And a big thank you to Amber Carrington, for contributing so much to the opening ceremonies with her National Anthem performance on both nights....just an incredible performance !!

FAIR TIME !
Lane and the 'Texas T-Rex' camp have began preparing for the LSGTPA double-header on June 8th and 9th, which will open the Hunt County Fair in Greenville, Texas. This event is the only double-header on the LSGTPA schedule and is a very important pull for those teams looking to make a run for the LSGTPA points championship ! The Hunt County Fair arena track will be prepared well, thanks to great sponsors like Crawford-Smith, Inc., and the Duncan Motorsports sponsored 'T-Rex' Team looks to capitalize on a great track, and put on a good show for the LSGTPA tractor pulling fans.
The LSGTPA is excited, as our we, about the scheduled appearance of Amber Carrington, to present the National Anthem during the LSGTPA opening ceremonies on Friday night, June 8th at 6pm. Amber is a very talented performer and Lane has had the privilege of meeting her at one of her shows, so we are looking forward to having Ms. Carrington be a part of the LSGTPA and the Hunt County Fair show !

Bonham Heritage Days Celebration Tractor Pull
The Duncan Motorsports Team unloading the 'Texas T-Rex' tractor in Bonham, really needed to provide the fans with a good show at the LSGTPA event at the Powder Creek Park. And, hopefully, our driver Lane Duncan was able to do just that ! Rebounding from a less than awesome showing in East Tawakoni, the Team T-Rex was a little nervous about Bonham, especially after having made some wild changes in the weight balance on the tractor. Our driver performed flawlessly, as usual, and the 'T-Rex' seemed to like the weight changes ! Lane and his 'Texas T-Rex' finished with a runner-up, in a VERY tough field of ten Youth Class tractors !!! The LSGTPA Youth Class for 2012, is the toughest class on record....EVER !!! Any one of these young drivers can win at any track, and a win in 2012 is going to be EXTREMELY hard to earn !!
The Duncan Motorsports Team would like to extend a great THANK YOU, to our 'kinfolk' Jason Colwell for showing up and providing some moral support, along with our sponsors 'Uncle' Larry King and Donna. Also, as always, we need to thank Richard and Nancy Duncan for supporting our team. And, in addition to those that have always supported us, the Duncan Motorsports Team would like to thank Jodie at South Texas Implement for her support of the LSGTPA Youth Class !!!!

Spirit of East Tawakoni LSGTPA Pull
The Spirit of East Tawakoni Tractor Pull proved to be a great start for the LSGTPA tractor pulling 2012 season, but not such a great start for the Duncan Motorsports 'Texas T-Rex' pulling team. On a picture perfect Saturday, with great conditions and a very well prepared track, the 'T-Rex' team struggled to move the LSGTPA sled, on the sandy soil. Driver Lane Duncan, drove perfectly, as usual, but the tractor weight balance was off, with too much weight on the rear and too little weight on the front. To complicate matters, the clutch setup had been softened, to tame the launch of the 'T-Rex' and help prevent such a violent launch, as the team seemed to have in 2011. The clutch setup seemed to allow for too much slippage, early in the pull, and then contributed to the early wheel stand.
The DM Team returned to the shop, unloaded, and began working on the weight setup immediately. The 'T-Rex' now has a weight setup in the middle of the chassis, which will allow for quick adjustments at the track. Previous weight movements, were from either back or front. We will also return to the 2011 clutch setup, at least for the next event in Bonham, until further testing can confirm an improvement in that area.
The Duncan Motorsports team is excited about the comfort level that Lane has acquired in driving the tractor, and hopes to improve on the tractor setup. We currently have a driver, that is compensating for the lack of tuning ability of the crew !!!! If we can get the horse right, we have a good jockey !!!
Thank you to all of our sponsors and friends that have jumped onboard this tractor pulling adventure, and we hope you have enjoyed the action and challenges as we have !!!! See ya at the next pull !!
