Lindsay Truck and Tractor Pull Hosts LSGTPA Teams August 1st

The Lindsay Truck and Tractor Pull will host LSGTPA pulling teams on Saturday, August 1st.  The event will feature the LSGTPA pulling teams, in a one round pull off show, scheduled for a 4:30pm start.

Lane Duncan and his 'Texas T-Rex' Youth Class pulling tractor, are among the teams scheduled to compete in the single round pulling competition, showcasing the LSGTPA tractor pulling.

LSGTPA Action Heats Up at Rolling Oaks VFD Pull

Summer temperatures provided a hot surface for the LSGTPA pulling teams at the Rolling Oaks VFD pull in Wills Point.  Lane Duncan was able to wheel his 'Texas T-Rex' LSGTPA Youth Class tractor to the third place spot, during a day which saw temperatures near the 100 degree mark.  The 'T-Rex' was sporting a revised front end set up, which seemed to work very well.  The next stop for the team, looks to be the Lindsay Truck and Tractor Pull, scheduled for Saturday, August 1st.

Lake Tawakoni Tractor Pulling Action at Rolling Oaks VFD

The LSGTPA tractor pulling teams will be in action, as the Rolling Oaks Volunteer Fire Department plays host to the fourth event on the 2015 schedule.  Teams from across the state will converge on the Lake Tawakoni area, to shake the ground as they compete for the title in two rounds of tractor pulling action !

Twisted Kitty Tractor Construction Continues

Lane Duncan and his Duncan Motorsports team continue to work at preparing the team's second tractor for LSGTPA pulling competition.  Hoping to make a 2015 debut, the team has the engine installed and running, and are working to eliminate several unexpected issues. Initially, the original carburetor was planned to be utilized, but enough wear had occurred on the original piece, that a new one was deemed appropriate.  A few issues with the new carburetor, and a severe lean condition, prompted the team to move to plan an improved setup for fuel delivery.  The team is currently working to adapt a Mikuni carburetor to the Briggs Stratton engine.  The improved setup will allow for tuning of the fuel delivery, to allow the engine to operate without the lean condition which could cause damage.

The team has also been moved to install a less aggressive compression combination, with changing the head gasket thickness.  This move is an attempt to reduce engine heat, which also seems to be a concern.  ARP head studs and bolts are used to seal up the new engine, and have proved to be very nice pieces of hardware !  The team will continue to tune and modify the components, until a pull worthy combination can be obtained.  Stay tuned !!

Rolling Oaks VFD will host the LSGTPA pulling teams near Lake Tawakoni.

Texas T-Rex Visits Texas Scottish Rite Hospital For Children

The Duncan Motorsports Team was on hand with the Texas T-Rex LSGTPA Youth Class pulling tractor, during the 2015 Texas Scottish Rite Hospital For Children's, Farm and Ranch Day event.  The team displayed the tractor, and allowed children to actually set in the machine and learn about what it takes to drive a pulling tractor.  Several children made return visits to the LSGTPA booth, to set in the drivers seat and take photos aboard the Texas T-Rex.

The annual event is usually held at the Reverchon Park in Dallas, which is located next to TSRHC campus.  With rain in the forecast this year, the event was held in the TSRHC parking garage.  The Duncan Motorsports team had a great day, visiting with the cool kids attending the event, and talking a little tractor pulling !
