Duncan Team Whitewright Report

Well, the 2017 LSGTPA tractor pulling season is off to a start, not exactly as we had hoped for, but we are rolling nonetheless.  Our season opener appearance in Whitewright, during the Whitewright Truck & Tractor Pull, did not go as planned.  We did however, have a great time, and were excited to have been a part of a great pulling show for the fans.

Recent rains in the area, had provided for a somewhat tricky track surface for our team.  Lane would pilot both his 'Texas T-Rex' and the 'Twisted Kitty' in the LSGTPA Youth Class, and would wheel both machines in fine fashion.  First round found us catching ruts with both tractors, preventing us from making optimum passes.  Sometimes, a little luck is needed on tough track surfaces, and we somehow managed to avoid good luck with both machines !

Second round, we were moved to a different track, on the multiple track arena floor.  The track surface was better, but was a little stickier than what we would have liked.  The track was a hard packed clay, but was an extremely rough surface.  Our tractors perform best, on a fine sand and clay mix.  Both tractors were balanced pretty good, but our tire package may have been a little off.  We will add that info to our notebook !

After second round, we found the 'Twisted Kitty' had a needle hang open in the carburetor, causing the engine cylinder to fluid with fuel and hydraulic the engine.  Once back at the shop, we drained the fuel and oil, cleaned the carburetor, and filled the engine with fresh Rotella, Lucas Oil, and VP Race Fuel fluids.  So, both machines are now fresh and ready for the Delta County Livestock Show & Fair Pull on Saturday, April 8th.

We are hoping for a better performance in Cooper !  We are excited to be back on the track and pulling again, with the LSGTPA teams in 2017 !
