....with the purchase of this 1968 Chevelle. This photo was taken, with the owner (mom), in Enloe, Texas.
Some 40 + years later, both are still a part of the team....
These photos were taken from the same spot, the porch of the house my mom grew up in. The Chevelle at this time, runs with the same 275hp/327 and Powerglide combination it came new with...and is NHRA/IHRA Stock legal.
During the time the Chevelle was our daily driver, we campaigned our 1955 Chevrolet at the drag strip...and on weekend adventures.
Built from a pasture find basket case, the 350 powered '55 was built for battle, and held its own both on the track and off.
